Hey there Wormies,
We’re halfway through Autumn in Australia, and the weather is getting colder each day. The perfect weather to snuggle up in a blanket with a mug of piping hot tea.
Despite the cold and rainy weather, our production hasn’t been slower. In fact, we’ve been speeding up, so that we can be ready for May, which promises to be super productive for us.
So without further adieu, here’s a quick rundown of what the teams have been up to:
Laura has been digging deep into some of the new assets and texturing them. Among these include hacky sacks, horseshoes, trunks, the Fortune Teller Table and the German Wheel.
During this time, Mitchell has been tinkering away on the rigging for the next major character (shh… spoilers).
Additionally, Mitchell has been constructing and finishing the rest of the levels for Area 2. He has also gone back in and made sure that all of the interactable objects in Area 2 have collision (no ghostly Poodles this time).
Meanwhile, Josh has been testing new ways to improve the walking animation for our animals. We’re trying to make the walking cycles as smooth as possible, especially when the characters interact with objects. We’re just about there!
Plus, he has been working closely with Bernard to make sure each level is running without a hitch.
May promises to be really hectic for us. We have a lot of work to do before we can wrap up on Area 2, thankfully, it’s all finally coming together.
The Early Worm gets the bird.
